CRITICAL MATERIALS OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES
Retired lithium-ion batteries are transported to the physical processing line, which integrates crushing, magnetic separation, particle-size screening, and gravity-based separation. This advanced process enables the highly efficient recovery of key material streams, including high-grade black mass, stainless steel fragments, and high-purity copper and aluminum granules.
The recovered black mass boasts an exceptionally low iron content of less than 1 ppm, while the purity of the reclaimed copper and aluminum reaches approximately 97% and 86%, respectively. These high-yield outputs are ideal for downstream hydrometallurgical refinement or direct reuse in secondary applications.

The cathode black mass undergoes acid leaching to dissolve the targeted valuable metal ions. Utilizing WASTE Recovery Tech's continuous extraction process, high-purity solutions of copper, nickel, and cobalt ions are then selectively separated and recovered.
ELECTROPLATED METALS FROM HYDROMETALLURGY
The high-purity metal ion solutions are continuously transferred from the extraction line directly to the corresponding electroplating systems, where they are processed into high-purity copper, cobalt, and nickel. The purity of these recovered metals can exceed 99.5%.
