CRITICAL MATERIALS OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES
Retired lithium-ion batteries are conveyed to the physical processing production line, which includes crushing, magnetic separation, particle size screening, and gravity-based separation. It enables the efficient recovery of key material streams, such as high-grade black mass, stainless steel fragments, and high-purity copper and aluminum granules.
The recovered black mass exhibits an iron content of less than 1 ppm, while the purity of the reclaimed copper and aluminum reaches approximately 97% and 86%, respectively—making them suitable for downstream hydrometallurgical refinement or direct reuse in secondary applications.

METAL-ION EXTRACTS
The cathode black mass generated by the slurry dryer, along with the battery black mass produced by the physical crushing process, undergoes acid leaching to dissolve targeted valuable metal ions. Using WASTE Recovery Tech's continuous extraction process, high-purity metal ion solutions such as copper, nickel, and cobalt ion solutions are then selectively separated and recovered from the process.
ELECTROPLATED METALS FROM HYDROMETALLURGY
The high-purity metal ion solutions are continuously transferred from the extraction line directly to the corresponding electroplating system, where they are processed to produce high-purity copper, cobalt, and nickel metals. The purity of the recovered metals can reach over 99.5%.
