PHYSICAL PROCESSING PRODUCTION LINE
Taiwan’s first enclosed crushing and processing line for lithium-ion batteries is engineered to mitigate the emission of particulate matter and electrolyte solvents generated during mechanical comminution. The integrated system comprises a sequence of specialized units—including crushing, magnetic separation, particle sieving, and gravity-based density separation—to facilitate the recovery of high-purity black mass, stainless steel fragments, copper granules, and aluminum granules.
The system boasts the following cutting-edge technical features:
Advanced Safety Controls: A proprietary inert gas protection and regulation system significantly enhances operational safety by suppressing thermal and chemical reactivity during battery crushing operations.
Electrolyte Closed-Loop Recovery: The fully enclosed air capture and solvent condensation system enables the effective recovery of volatilized electrolytes. Once purified, these recovered solvents are ideal for reintegration into lithium-ion battery manufacturing, substantially reducing the product’s carbon footprint.
Ultra-Low Iron Contamination: The implementation of a multi-stage magnetic separation module ensures that iron content in the recovered black mass is maintained below 1 ppm. This drastically enhances the efficiency and selectivity of downstream hydrometallurgical processing, ensuring premium-grade extracted metals.
High-Precision Material Sorting: Gravity separation enables the sharp differentiation of copper and aluminum granules, achieving an exceptional copper recovery rate of up to 97% and an aluminum recovery rate of approximately 86%.
Optimized Economic Feasibility: The total material recovery efficiency of the processing line exceeds 95%. The resulting products demonstrate high purity and premium market value, significantly driving the overall profitability of the recycling operation.
BATTERY PACK POTENTIAL AND RESISTANCE SCANNING SYSTEM
The system executes automated incoming inspections for battery packs, autonomously generating unique QR code labels to ensure end-to-end traceability across the entire processing lifecycle. Simultaneously, it captures the voltage and internal resistance of each pack, delivering critical diagnostic data to dynamically guide subsequent discharge procedures and downstream workflows.
BATTERY PACK ENERGY TRANSFER AND RECOVERY SYSTEM
Residual energy from battery packs is harvested and converted into 220V AC power, directly fueling the facility’s recycling equipment. Boasting a DC-to-AC conversion efficiency of up to 89%, this zero-pollution process slashes internal power consumption and significantly lowers the overall carbon footprint of the recycling operations.
METAL-ION EXTRATION PIPELINE
Governed by an intelligent production and control system integrated with the electroplating pipeline, this setup features fully automated, 24/7 remote monitoring for highly efficient, unmanned production. The process utilizes fully recyclable acids, achieving zero waste acid discharge. Following upstream physical purification, the secondary extraction stage reaches metal ion purities exceeding 99.5% while drastically cutting extraction and separation times. Overall, the system boasts a total metal recovery efficiency of over 98%.
ELECTROPLATING PRODUCTION LINE
High-purity metal ion solutions are continuously transferred from the extraction pipeline, enabling the direct production of premium copper, cobalt, and nickel metals. This process is governed by an intelligent production and control system integrated with the pipeline, featuring fully automated, 24/7 continuous operation and real-time remote monitoring.
